FEMO‑SUPERBOWL™
One compressor for every femoral closure.
From routine 6F angiography to 15F ECMO – focal spherical compression that preserves flow and eliminates foreign material. Designed for daily intervention, proven for extreme cases.
Spherical Bowl – Deep Point Compression
The rigid yet elastic bowl transmits focal pressure through adipose and muscle layers directly to the femoral arteriotomy. Unlike flat plates or inflatable designs that compress the entire thigh, the bowl’s curvature concentrates force exactly where needed – achieving hemostasis without occluding collateral vessels.
Why it works: A sphere focuses force to a single point. The bowl compresses the deep arterial defect while the elastic tape system secures the device without a tourniquet effect, preserving profunda femoris and superficial femoral artery flow.

Reference Ring – Precision Alignment
The outer reference ring on the hemisphere is engineered to match the anatomical offset from skin to artery (√5 cm). When aligned with the skin puncture site along the femoral axis, the bowl center lies directly over the subcutaneous arterial puncture – no guesswork, no fluoroscopy.
Visual clarity: The transparent bowl and reference ring allow continuous visual confirmation of the puncture site throughout compression. Clinicians can monitor for bleeding or hematoma without disturbing the device, reducing anxiety and unnecessary adjustments.

60 sec
Restored distal perfusion
Average time to return of normal rSO₂ and pedal pulse after FEMO‑SUPERBOWL™ application – confirming flow is maintained, not occluded.
Significantly reduced
Femoral artery occlusion
Preserved distal flow minimizes thrombosis and occlusion, preserving the vessel for future interventions.
50% ↓
Hemostasis time reduction
Compression duration reduced by half or more compared to traditional manual protocols – tailored to sheath size.
Proven Across the Femoral Access Spectrum
From routine angiography to complex mechanical circulatory support.
Standard & Complex Interventions
- Diagnostic angiography (5F‑6F)
- Peripheral vascular interventions (6F‑8F)
- Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) – 8F‑14F
- Endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR)
- Impella / mechanical circulatory support
VA‑ECMO Decannulation (15F‑19F)
ECMO arterial cannulas represent the most demanding hemostasis challenge. FEMO‑SUPERBOWL™ enables:
- 10‑20 min of manual compression after decannulation
- Device application for 12‑24 hours
- No need for surgical cutdown or suture‑based closure devices
- Reduced ICU bed rest and faster liberation from immobility
FEMO‑SUPERBOWL™ vs. Invasive Closure Devices
External compression that works – without the risks of intraluminal devices.
Suture‑Based Closure
Leaves permanent foreign material. Risk of infection, suture entanglement, vessel stenosis. Failure rate up to 10%.
Plug‑Based Closure
Retained collagen or polymer plug. Risk of embolization, pseudoaneurysm, late infection. Not suitable for small or calcified vessels.
FEMO‑SUPERBOWL™
External focal compression. No foreign material, no vessel wall injury. Preserves access site for future procedures. Cost‑effective, simple application.
Simple Application – One Operator, One Device
Designed for rapid, reproducible hemostasis at the bedside.
Apply manual pressure while removing sheath
Hold the bowl vertically; withdraw the cannula while maintaining compression.
Secure elastic tape crosswise around thigh
Stretch and adhere the tape – no circumferential tourniquet.
Confirm hemostasis & distal pulse
Monitor through transparent bowl; assess pedal pulse and limb color.
Clinical monitoring: Assess dorsalis pedis pulse, limb color, and temperature. The transparent bowl allows direct visualization of the puncture site without device disturbance.
Compression Duration Guidelines
4-6 hours
For 5F-8F catheters
Standard femoral
interventions
6-8 hours
For 8F-12F catheters
Larger sheath
procedures
24 hours
For ≥15F catheters
ECMO cannulas and
large-bore access
Clinical Note: Compression duration should be adjusted based on intraproceduralanticoaqulation, patient coaqulation status, procedural complexity, and sheath size. The above times are general quidelines: clinical judgment should always prevail.
